Enrica Barbuiani was born in Adria (a nice small town, situated about 50 km from Venice) on 13th April, 1967. She attended the secondary school (liceo classico) and then she moved to Udine, where she took her degree, faculty of ‘Conservazione dei Beni Culturali’.

Since she was a little girl she has been interested in art and she has attended several painting courses in her home town.
Later she tried several techniques (acrylic paint on porcelain, pastel on fabric, charcoal on cardboard etc.); she has applied them on dolls, of which she has always been fond of.

In September 2002 she attended a doll-making course in the laboratory of Flavia Macor in order to learn the three-dimensional painting of the eye on ‘biscuit’. She has been happily married since 1993 and she has four daughters.
Today Enrica Barbuiani lives and works in Udine.
